Founding Spirit

Our school was founded for students rejecting or experiencing difficulty adjusting to public education, under the motto “Elevating Minds with Love” (John 12:24), in the project to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Cheongju Diocese in 1998.

The school buildings were constructed in the teaching of our good shepherd Jesus Christ who commanded “Young man, I say to you, get up!” (Luke 7:14) The objective is to realize the education of hope in the twenty-first century, in which teachers support students with love, communicate with students based on educational theories and philosophies, and provide the students with hopes and dreams about the future.

In addition, In addition, the school was founded to provide education of hope, founded on the noble faith and thorough educational philosophy of Father Thomas Choi Yang-eob (1821-1861), the second ordained priest from Korea and a martyr of sweat who lived in the “right paths for his name’s sake, even though [he walked] through the darkest valley” (Psalm 23:3-4).
